Welcome to The Dogwood Canine Lodge

Nestled on 35 peaceful acres, The Dogwood Canine Lodge offers a private, home-like retreat for dogs. Each dog or dog family enjoys their own spacious climate controlled 10x10 cabin and 20x20 yard, designed to provide a calm, cage-free environment that feels like home, not a kennel.

Our boarding business grew from a simple passion: giving dogs a safe, comfortable place to feel loved. After years of supporting local shelters and caring for rescue animals, we wanted to create something more personal, something that reflects the way we care for our own pets. That’s why our kennels are located right here on our home property. Every dog who stays with us becomes part of our daily life, not just a name on a reservation. By choosing us, you’re not only giving your dog a home-away-from-home, you’re helping us continue our mission to support shelter animals who need a second chance. Choosing to stay small with a total of 4 cabins, we strive to provide exceptional, individualized attention. Our low ratio allows us to truly get to know each dog’s needs, from active play to quiet companionship, and to accommodate even those who require a more hands-off, gentle approach. Every stay is customized to ensure each dog feels safe, respected, and cared for at their own comfort level.

We welcome dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. From energetic explorers to gentle seniors and everything in between, we take the time to understand your dog’s unique needs and temperament. Our experience with a wide range of behaviors allows us to provide safe, compassionate care tailored to every guest. We ask all new clients to submit a booking request and schedule a free consultation call with us before their dog’s first stay. This gives us the chance to review your dog’s personality, needs, and daily routine together, and, if it feels right, schedule a trial stay.
